» TAKE
GEOMETRY (or trigonometry/advanced algebra if you
already completed geometry in the 9th grade) and college-preparatory
English.
» CHECK
IN WITH YOUR SCHOOL COUNSELORS to make sure you
are “on track” for college. Remember that in order for
the courses you complete in high school to fulfill the University
of California’s admission requirements, those courses must
appear on your high school’s UC certified course list. Your
course list is available from your school counselor, UC admission
counselor, or at: https://pathways.ucop.edu/doorways/list/.
» IF
YOU ARE FALLING BEHIND, take advantage of resources
such as tutoring and study groups. You might need to take courses
during summer school to stay “on track.”
» ASK
COUNSELORS about appropriate summer programs offered
at your school, in the community, or at local colleges and universities.
